How we use AI

Where AI tools are used at Snello, how their output is checked, and who is responsible. Last updated 6 October 2026

In our own work

  • AI tools help with drafting, coding, testing and checking. We say so on every page where it matters.
  • Foysal reviews and is responsible for everything delivered. Text and code on this site were drafted with AI tools; Foysal is responsible for what is published.

In your project

  • AI steps are used only where they help; rules and checks come first because they are more predictable.
  • AI is off by default. When used, it runs on your own API key with a provider you choose, or on a local model on your machine; never on our subscriptions.
  • If you switch on a cloud option, it sends up to the first 6,000 characters of the extracted text to the provider you choose.

Labelled output

  • AI-filled fields are flagged for checking.
  • Model wording is labelled as model output, not a quote, and the source passage is shown next to it.

Your data

  • Your documents are not used to train AI.
  • Documents are not sent to any AI service unless you choose one, under your own account.

AI literacy

Everyone who uses AI tools at Snello (today, only Foysal) knows what each tool is used for, how it can fail (invented facts, wrong numbers, outdated information) and which checks apply before anything is delivered: tests, sources and a human review. This is our approach to the AI-literacy duty in the EU AI Act; whether it is sufficient is part of our legal review.

Limits

  • This page describes our practice. It is not a legal assessment under the EU AI Act; that is left to legal review.
